For some companies, it's crucially important to lock developers in an environment where they can do no harm. To a certain extent, that's reasonable. However, sometimes it makes our life very hard, especially if you're a consultant and used to having some muscle memory.
For that reason, I was looking for something that translates my basic shortcuts from a macOS environment to a Windows Virtual Machine that is locked down - no admin permissions, only a user account.
AutoHotKey was a solution for me, so I wrote a small script to run it every time they reset the machine. Most of the time, it works very well for me; however, it has some hiccups.
